The black register vents I found were decorative instead of plain... and also VERY expensive so I opted to go the DIY route. I gave these a 2nd coat of paint in the opposite direction and just love how they turned out!
Our dining room light is installed now... I love it! It was so hard for me to pick out fixtures and I finally found this one for (literally) hundreds less than anything else I had found. I'm so anxious to have sit-down dinner in my new dining room. We have been eating take out soooooo much through this process. Thankfully Mom has been bringing us some yummy homemade meals to keep up going though =)
I'll admit, through this process I've turned into a bit of a diva been pretty specific with what I wanted. Some things Nathan has agreed to and others I'm having to step back and realize it really isn't THAT important. When you have something in your head though... it feels REALLY important to you =) Also, since we are putting out the money and time to fix up this house I guess I just think it should be what we want, within reason.
Guest Bath vanity... still needs knobs put on, but I'm loving the dark wood. Didn't my husband do an amazing job on our tile!
Master Bath: This is a small cozy space if I must say so myself. I already had to give up 2 feet from my walk-in closet to make this room of practical size. In other words... I'm not complaining that the bathroom isn't any bigger than it is =)
Kitchen cabinets with trim installed... I love them!

Leah, it looks wonderful! Your patience is paying off. I'm 8 years in on a remodel! I need to know more about your story - where are you living now while you do the house?

I know how you feel when you want something to be a certain way. WE are in the same process...fixing our house to the way we like it and I've had to compromise for a few things as well.
