Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 22 weeks

Size of baby: just over 11 inches long

around 1 pound - length of spaghetti squash

Sleep: I'm starting the tossing and turning stage.  I crash when I go to sleep but then the morning hours are just filled with trying to get comfortable.

Cravings: I still enjoy eating...like a lot! :)  I can only eat a little bit at a time at this point.

Symptoms: Lots of back pain...I feel like I'm waddling and that's just flat out embarrassing at this stage.

Still no sickness!  I feel SO THANKFUL for this!  I have had a healthy, easy pregnancy so far.

Movement:  I'm feeling movement throughout the day and loving it!  Nathan was able to see the baby moving this past week...such a neat thing since he doesn't get to feel everything I am.

Maternity Clothes:  I have a few dresses and skirts that I've started wearing.  Other than that, not necessary yet.

Best moment this week:  Nathan painted the nursery and we have began the process of decorating in there.  We had to rearrange some rooms (or rather stuff) so that is finally behind me.  We also ordered the baby furniture this week.  I got a rocking chair, crib and dresser and am so excited for it all to arrive.  Now that I've started the nursery progress, I just can't wait to get it all done.

What's Happening?

It feels like a lot is happening lately.  I'm trying to keep up!

We are shopping for baby furniture...

trying to make childcare decisions for our little guy...

handling updates around the house...

thinking all things baby...

and trying to keep up at home and at work in between it all!

I'm finding that it is hard to concentrate :)

I want so badly to record things I am feeling through this process!  I felt our little guy move for the first time the week of Christmas. Now I feel him move many times throughout the day...and I'm loving it!  Sometimes the way he is laying will create a visible bump on my belly and Nathan can even see and feel the hard protrusion.  

Now that I'm truly showing and feeling our little guy move, it is all starting to feel more real!  We are starting to work on the nursery some and I am getting terribly excited to just get it done.  I know at 21 weeks that isn't necessary, but I can't wait to see the finished product.  I've found some adorable little outfits at Target lately...I hope he stays in Newborn sizes long enough to wear these cute finds! :)

Last - I'm changing the name and updating my blog.  I feel like with changes in my life and the little blog break I took, I was able to refocus a bit.  I love clothes and remixing items in my closet, but I'm sure I'll be throwing a lot more randomness out here than before. Here's to 2013!  Hope you'll stick around!

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 19 weeks

Size of baby: just over 6 inches long (from crown to rump)

8 . 5 ounces - the size of a large heirloom tomato

Weight Gained:  8 pounds

Sleep: I'm crashing at night.  I'm back to feeling kind of worn out a lot of the time!  I sleep well though, so no complaints.

Cravings: I'm pretty hungry a lot of the time again.  I can't eat a lot at once and I fill up quickly at this stage.

Symptoms: I'm still having some headaches...several a week.  Doc said it is normal so I'm trying to manage them without taking too much medicine.

Still no sickness!  I feel SO THANKFUL for this!  I have had a healthy, easy pregnancy so far.

It doesn't take much for me to get sore and stiff.  Housework or just being on my feet for long periods seem to wear me out! 

Movement:  We had an ultrasound this past week and the baby was moving all around...so active!  I've also just started to feel occasional movement.  At least 1x day at this point...I love it!

Best moment this week:  At our appointment last week, we heard the heartbeat again and the tech went through checking out the baby extensively.  Everything looked great and the baby was measuring right on target for our May 30th due date.  
We also found out that we are having a BOY!  
We are so excited and happy that we can begin planning a little bit more for his arrival!  I went shopping that very afternoon...just had to get my hands on a few little outfits :)
