Pregnancy Highlights

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 8 weeks

Size of baby: just over 1/2 inch long - the size of a kidney bean

Sleep: All the time!  I wake up earlier, but good gracious I could go to sleep as soon as I've eaten supper each evening.

Cravings: I am just hungry all the time!  Nothing specific...just want food often!

Symptoms: So far the only 'issue' I'm having is just feeling nauseated of an evening or whenever I don't eat.  Evenings are definitely worse on me so far.   I am already not wanting any clothing tight on my stomach...looks like tents are in my future! :)

Best moment this week:  Having our 1st doctor's appointment.  Nathan was able to take off work and go with me.  Our ultrasound was so clear and we were able to hear the baby's heartbeat.  Since we both had the day off work, we ran errands and enjoyed lunch out together.  Just a perfect little day!

Two more days until I am 9 weeks along.

Starting a Family

Making the decision to have a child is momentous.
It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.
 - Elizabeth Stone
I can't believe this is finally happening for us!  Wanting something for so long and not being able to control when and if it would happen began to simply feel like it would not.  Even as I sit here and type this, I'm almost in disbelief.  WE are going to be parents! :)

8 weeks pregnant

Expected to arrive:  May 30, 2013

Chicago - Sept Work Conference

After day 1 at our conference, we decided we were going to take the L downtown and enjoy the beautiful evening.  Believe it or not I had never been downtown Chicago before, on the L or in a taxi!  It was a night of new things for this girl.
We had delicious pizza...which I ate WAY to much of and warmed up with a hot chocolate from Hersheys!
We did a ton of walking...and darting in and out of traffic
I did notice that my boss conveniently got us to the shopping district as mostly everything was closing up.  He's sly that one! :)

...until next time!
