House Updates: 021911

So remember I told you our house only had a 1-car garage? Well, we are finally making progress in adding a garage to our lot. I will be able to use the 1-car garage to park in and also for a little storage, so I am super excited. Nathan will be able to park in the detached garage and store all of his tools and stuff out there - again, I am super excited :) This gets his tools out of my house & garage!

My Dad came over on Saturday and hung pictures throughout my house.  It makes me feel so much better to get things finished up a little bit.

Outfit Post: 16 February 2011

I was thrifting with my friend over the weekend and she found this adorable skirt for me.  I remembered I had this navy sweater I had never worn and with that, two separates became an outfit :)

I think I picked up 5 or 6 skirts while we were thrifting.  So exciting!  I'll have to show you some more of them real soon!

Promotion
...yeah, I finally got it!

I had been working on a speech for my annual review coming up in May.  Just in case I hadn't received a promotion by then, I was going to 'present my case'!  Wouldn't you know, they bombarded me with a speech of their own yesterday.  I got it...my anticipated promotion.  To not sound like a brat about all of this, let me explain.  They moved me in my very own office back in November.  I've been doing this job and assuming more and more responsibilities that come with it since last summer.  We have doubled our clients since then and are on the brink of some really big things.

For such a small company this is all so very exciting.  For me starting here as simply a job and really creating a place for myself within the company...I'm psyched!!  It's taken a lot of hard work and even understanding from my husband.  He's been so supportive!

So...not to boast or anything, but I just wanted to share.  I'm now an Account Manager!  Since technically my title has been Administrative Assistant all of this time, it made me feel better for them to acknowledge the change was deserved :)

Happy days, friends!
